Cabbage soup is one of the fastest weight-loss diets. With this, weight can be reduced by about 10 pounds (4.5 kg) in just seven days. There is no clear evidence of the origin of this diet, but it has been popular since the 1980s.

Procedure for Diet

Cabbage Soup Recipe


  • 2 large onions
  • 2 green bell peppers
  • 2 cans of tomatoes
  • 1 bunch of celery
  • 1 head of cabbage, chopped
  • Optional: 1 or 2 bouillon cubes
  • 2 or 3 carrots
  • 6 cups of water
  • Optional: garlic powder, curry powder to taste

How to make

  • Cut all the vegetables into cubes.
  • Add a small amount of oil to a pot of the desired size.
  • Then add all the chopped vegetables, bouillon cubes, approved flavors (if desired), and 6 cups of water into the pot.
  • Let it cook for 30-45 minutes on medium heat.

The rules you should follow each day of the Cabbage Soup Diet

Day 1 –
Eat only cabbage soup and fruit(except for bananas). Cabbage soup can be added to the diet as much as you want.

Day 2 –
Eat only cabbage soup and vegetables (except peas, corn, and beans). You can add one baked potato with butter or oil to the diet.

Day 3 –
In addition to soups, add vegetables and fruits to the diet as much as possible. (except baked potato and bananas)

Day 4 –
Allowed to eat bananas, in addition, milk, yogurt (sweetened yogurt only), and cabbage soup.

Day 5 –
On the fifth day, protein-rich foods such as fish or beef (280-550g) can be added to the diet. Also, add up to six fresh tomatoes to your diet.

Day 6 –
On the 6th day, you can eat beef and vegetables. Focus on green vegetables (except baked potato, tomatoes).

Day 6 –
You can add brown rice and fruit juices to your diet. (You can drink unlimited amounts of fruit juice and remember not to add sugar.)
